“When a mother dies, a daughter grieves. And then her life moves on. She does, thankfully, feel happiness again. But the missing her, the wanting her, the wishing she were still here – I will not lie to you, although you probably already know. That part never ends.”
- Hope Edelman
Motherless Daughters
We come together in shared grief and celebration for our lost mothers. When you lose your mom it can be very isolating, but having the support of other motherless daughters can help you feel understood.
Who Are We?
We are a community of women and girls in the greater Kansas City Area who have lost their mothers. Through each other's stories we can find comfort and understanding.
Who Do We Serve?
A Motherless Daughter is anyone who lost a mother or mother figure before the age of 30, regardless of your current age or stage of loss.
What Do We Provide?
We provide social support and friendships with other motherless daughters through: * Bi-monthly Virtual Meetups * Quarterly Social Gatherings * Annual Mother's Day Luncheon * Private Community Facebook Group
